GreaterGood and our supporters have spent an entire year supporting frontline workers by donating and distributing masks and other types of aid to where they’ve been needed most during the COVID-19 pandemic. We have made mask donations in almost every state and in other countries as well, such as Mexico and Armenia. Masks have also been delivered to Native American health services organizations, border areas between Texas and Mexico, and a health clinic for refugees waiting to enter the U.S.

We’ve delivered more than 3 million masks to medical professionals, elder care workers, staff and volunteers at animal shelters and wildlife sanctuaries, food service workers who aid vulnerable populations, and other heroes who kept working during this difficult time.

We’ll continue donating PPE and offering aid wherever it’s needed most during the pandemic, but we’re looking forward to the day when that won’t be necessary anymore. And that day might be coming up fairly soon, thanks to the hard work of vaccine developers and the efforts citizens have been making to socially distance themselves to protect one another.

Now that COVID-19 vaccinations are rolling out in the U.S., we’re so excited to be seeing the end of the pandemic tunnel! Already many frontline workers, elderly people, and members of vulnerable populations have been vaccinated, thanks to the two-dose Pfizer and Moderna vaccines that have been available for the past couple of months.

Johnson & Johnson has also released a COVID-19 vaccine which has just begun to be used in the United States. This vaccine is slightly less effective than its two predecessors, but it has the added benefit of requiring only a single dose, meaning it can be rolled out more quickly to reach more people.

About 4 million doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine are available as of the first week of March, but 20 million are expected to be administered by the end of March as the company ramps up its production. Between this great news and the ever-increasing numbers of people being inoculated with Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, we expect that the end of the pandemic will be here before we know it.

Have you had your vaccination yet? We don’t blame you for being excited! Below is a video of Gurdeep Pandher of Yukon dancing Bhangra on a frozen lake in celebration of getting his COVID-19 vaccination.

Your donations help provide toys and books to children affected by COVID-19, food and supplies to families who have fallen on hard times, funding for animal shelters that are struggling during the pandemic, and face masks and PPE to frontline workers.
