The COVID-19 pandemic has caused thousands of people to lose jobs or experience other financial struggles that have led to food instability. For many people, this is the first time they’ve had to wonder where their next meal was coming from.
The need for meals at food banks and other charities is greater than ever before—but at the same time, there has been a decline in donations to these organizations that are helping those in need.
These people lining up at food pantries and soup kitchens are our friends and neighbors. They need our help to get back on their feet during one of the most difficult times our world has ever seen.
This year, GreaterGood, Greater Good Charities, and Great Life Publishing are honored to be partnering with Chris Pratt in our Feed Thy Neighbor campaign to support food banks and feed the hungry. This is such an important cause, and we’re so excited to see how many people we can help when we work together.
Chris Pratt has generously pledged to match every donation up to our $100,000 goal to support hunger relief. We know that we can reach this goal with your help!

Everyone who donates will be supporting food banks and hungry people, but each dollar donated also equates to one entry into a drawing to win an opportunity to meet Chris Pratt face-to-face via Zoom (up to 1000 entries per person). Five lucky winners, along with the top Feed Thy Neighbor donor, will be invited to join Chris on a private Zoom meeting and food bank donation.
A video compilation of these donations will be shared on Chris’s first-of-its-kind star-studded Instagram Live hunger relief telethon on New Year’s Eve. Each winner will also get to join Chris Pratt in surprising their local food bank of choice with a $10,000 cash donation.
Half of all funds raised will be donated to Feeding America to help address the meal shortage occurring at food banks across the nation. The other half will be distributed as cash grants to individual frontline feeding organizations in areas that have been hit the hardest by COVID-19 and related food insecurity issues.
100% of every donation will go to help people suffering from food insecurity. The Hunger Site will be covering the cost of all credit card processing fees so that Greater Good Charities can donate every last penny of the funds raised to where it’s needed most.
